From email: Some news of something of a reshuffle on the Trust board, with two resignations and two new appointments. Sadly Iain Huddy and Alan Hayward have both recently submitted their resignations from the Trust board. Iain, as many of you will know, has a serious long-term medical condition which, sadly, has worsened in recent months. I know Iain has agonised about this, but sadly has been forced to the conclusion that he feels he would not be able to fulfill his role as a Trust board member without risking further damage to his health. Sadly, therefore, he has decided to step down from the Trust board. Alan has recently taken up a new position at work which involves substantial travelling and extra hours. Therefore he also feels that he would no longer be able to commit to the extent that he always demands of himself, at least not if he wants to see his family occasionally! Both Iain and Alan have made substantial contributions to the Trust board in their time with us, in terms of energy, enthusiasm and contributing to the broad perspective of ideas that make up the Trust and we would like to record our sincere thanks to both of them, while wishing them well for the future. On a more positive note, we are in the fortunate position of having two excellent candidates ready to step right into the breach, in the form of Sam Binstead and James Walsh, who you may remember narrowly missed out in the elections to the Trust board last summer. We all look forward to working with Sam and James and I hope you will join me in offering our congratulations to them. We have also recently asked Paul Robson to take up the position of Newsletter editor, outside of the Trust board, as it has become very clear over the past year or so that it simply wasn't feasible to get this job done by the board. Paul is in the process of chasing several of us for articles now and I hope we will be able to get the first Trust newsletter in some time out shortly. If you have any ideas for articles you'd like to see in the Trust Newsletter, or articles you'd like to write yourself, please drop us a note to members@truststfc.co.uk and we'll put you in touch. Best Regards Paul Davis TrustSTFC

People tell you stuff all the time FB.....you just forget it. The Trust can't get an inside line on the STFC board, but the Bob Holt has now got an inside line on the Trust board....

I think it's really sexist that there isn't a bird on the board. Blokes need some eye candy (no offence Paul D).

I thought the Trust Board was comprised of people who won free and fair elections by members of the Trust? And in between elections, the board is empowered to co-opt board members. Having had two elected members resign, and two candidates who put themselves forward but missed out on being elected in the summer, there's an obvious match there.
