They do it properly around our way its all little kids dressed up with Mum stood in the background.Ive no problem with that.Groups of unacompanyed kids over 12 would get told to fuck off though. That's how it is round here, or it was last year anyway, only 1 group this time. Looks like I have a shit load of sweets left over then. Took my lad dressed as a ghost to one of the neighbours who said we could. Then they didn't answer the door so he got upset (he's 3). So we went to the shop at the end of the road to buy some sweets instead, they ended up giving him some freebies! I thin that's pretty damn ace. All hail the Juniper shop.

He''s happy now he has more sweets! And we did 'trick or treat' at our own door.
It's all about the sweets with him, not how you get them.

They tried to make me do apple bobbing at work today. I told them to politely fuck off.
Then we had to do a quiz which was anagrams of Stephen King films. I'd never heard of any of them! (The Tommyknockers?!?!)
They had a pumpkin carving competetion and a competition for best decorated team.
All supposedly in aid of staff motivation. I thought it was all a load of tosh.
On the plus side, I won a bag of sweets for answering that Yvette Fielding used to be a presenter of Blue Peter. Fuck knows what that has to do with Hallowe'en.

My advice to my children answering the door to various red eyed drugged or pissed up thirteen year olds begging for protein tonight was to douse them in petrol, say "Trick!" and then toss them a lighted match. Bah humbug.

I think the tenuous Yvette Fielding link has something to do with a TV show called Ghost Hunters which she presents (or at least used to).
Its been dull here. Although Hallowe'en is technically today, they organise events in various areas, meaning the police round up all the known deviants for the night, and let the kids roam around (supervised of course) without fear. For us it was last night, and no callers. To be fair, we're a little off the beaten track though.

Theirs one house thats really gone for it in the railway village. Has a huge skeleton hanging outside its house and everything. i saw that today! I'd have thought it would scare little kids! The police tape stuff said 'warning spooky house' or something along those lines, only had 2 tonight but don't answer the door.
