okay, maybe not 'ugly as fuck' but I'd rather go out with a girl who wasn't drop dead gorgeous and had an interesting personality than somebody who was incredibly attractive but totally dull.

I once tried seeing a girl who i did not really fancy cause she was nice and it just did not work, and never had a chance really!  yeah ok you can have good conversation and the sex was great but cause i did not find her attractive i was not really with it!!

Fortunately now i have the best of both worlds.  my Mrs is both beautiful and intelligent!

i think attraction is a big part of a relationship whether your older or not.... fine looks aren't everything i can vouch for that but you have to be attracted to a person otherwise you'l be looking else where for something your missing in your own relationship.

Agreed, but I suppose it depends how high the individuals standards are really. After all, what I might consider attractive others might consider 'ugly as fuck'. Speaking as an ugly cunt, you're dead right that the vast majority of people simply aren't interested unless you're fantastically handsome or beautiful but like I said, I'd rather go out with a girl who nobody else but me finds attractive if they've got a good personality, intelligent, interesting and share some of my interests than a girl who was incredibly beautiful but had nothing in common with me.

This is why I'm single.
