by that i mean a locked thread so it doesn't turn into a long discussion about cows and bagers

will do in a min, at the moment I'm writing this instead and in the middle of re-organising wires.

Right, I'm stickying a thread for people to reference any information that highlights the current boards involvement with the football club. Post anything you've got there, but use this one for discussion.

This is all a bit to organised for me. I just want to collect enough information to write a decent document.

I'll buy the first 3 people to put sources a pint. And to be fair it's pretty unrestricted. You could just take what they've said over the last week.

Don't worry if the Sticky thread doesn't follow any order. We'll put it together eventually. I'll put an index at the top.

Straight away....you've a problem because the current Board isn't really the story. that's teh Wills family and you've to go back to 91, to start the story.

any involvement that the current board have had with the football club. I'm pretty sure there's a bit pre donegan/brady.

Any information people can find then post it on the thread I've stickied.

I'm not sure this plan is going to work.

I'm not or even splitting hairs....but you can't ignore these years in the narrative, because this is how we went from being reasonably stable....to a situation where Diamandis could buy into the club for a laugh.

Fair point. Although I think I made it clear in my original post that It was the whole of the current non-football management.

I think this is a bad idea. It takes too much work to get started and I don't have the time.

Oh well.

I'll buy you 3 pints anyway yeovil. It was a silly way of going about it. There are people on here with a nearly encyclpeadic knowledge of the last 6/7 years or so. If they can reference what they know with adver / other sources quotes then we can fill in the gaps with the random claims of investors and go from there.

That's if anybody can be bothered.

There's so much out there but I'll get the ball rolling with a few links.

20/08/01 - Early mention of the consortium including Mike Diamandis
http://archive.wiltshiretimes.co.uk/2001/8/20/211131.html

20/08/01 – “Consortium has the funds” interview with Wills
http://archive.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/2001/8/20/211128.html

21/08/01 – “Donegan - I’ll get it sorted” interview” Donegan replies to claims of the consortium
http://archive.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/2001/8/21/211077.html

22/08/02 – “Council to probe club” includes quotes that the consortium were to invest £1 million each
http://archive.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/2001/8/22/211038.html

That’ll do for now I’m off to bed.

Ben, if you're really serious about doing this then why not make up a quick php/mySQL database? It'd:

a) stop the forum getting crammed up

b) be easier to sort the information by date etc.

I'm not serious. I don't have the time or inclination to take on such a project.
