No it is not. He is a manager who has no defensive capabilities at all.The attacking options he had last year would have been good enough for this season band they were desperate for defensive options.Instead he spends £40m and not a penny of that on defenders, he deserves all the criticism he gets in my opinion. correct me if im wrong but arent younes kaboul and gareth bale defenders? yes, but bale is shite haha, do you know anything about gareth bale? |

jol is playing him as a winger. Argue you polish bitch . I understand what your saying but i shall rephrase he should have bought some quality centre backs.Instead of 16.5m on a striker he dont need he could of got some very decent centre halfs for that price. |

He has two decent centre backs - King and Dawson - who were both injured at the start of the season. Not world class admittedly, but good enough for the top 5 of the premiership last two seasons. He bought a good prospect (allegedly) in Kaboul.
And Bale is a left back, but is playing LW as Jol couldn't or wouldn't buy a specialist left winger...and was top scorer before last night!

If you look at there achievements with the resources they've had over the time they've both been at their current clubs Jol's done way better no question. |
