...was working last night and my left back passenger door got smashed in with a brick by some fuckin pikeys. I was working at Pizza Hut at the time so wouldn't have been able to do anything about it. Got to fork out £75 excess now, luckily i'm getting it sorted out tomorrow morning. Police did nothing either which now means i've lost all respect for them! Pissed off!

What did you expect them to do though. Whilst I think the police force is shit and under staffed they would never catch the offender in that instance

Would you like to tell me exactly what the fuck you expected them to do about it?

Seriously, what?

Cancel all leave? Call in the SOCO's? Bring in the sniffer dogs?

Come on Einstein tell me what? What the fuck could they have done?

I await your reply with interest.

Think thats a little harsh OST.

Personally, I expect to live and work in an area where people have mutual respect for eachother and eachother's property. I dont expect some twat to come along and dent my car.

On another thread several people were slating the McCann's for leaving their children for a couple of hours. Its a shame that we dont berate many other parents for not teaching their kids right from wrong and enforcing discipline.

MV: Don't lose respect for the police. Help them to make a difference! If we all did that then the UK would be a much better place.

It's not harsh at all.

What you are saying about your desire to live in a world where people have a  mutual respect for each other and their property is absolutely reasonable and I share your aspirations in that regard.

With all due respect though, you have quite spectacularly missed the point. Mr Velocity is berating The Old Bill for their inaction but I am merely asking, given that we do not live in a Utopian Society and that 'shit happens', what he expected them to do?

What do you think they should have done?

Or more to the point? What do you think they could have done?

That is my point, which I thought was quite clear in the first instance. I do hope I have now further clarified my position.

It is harsh, this dude is obviously a kid and this probably the first time he's expierenced this or any type of crime. Why shouldnt he expect the Police to show some interest in a CRIME commited upon his property?

Sure they are overstretched and cant do much about it,its not Velocitys fault is it?

'Jumped up'???

Why?

The kid's pissed off that his car window's been smashed in. I'm with him 100% on that and so would anyone. It has actually happened to me. But then he's said the Police are shit because they're not going to do anything.

I'm merely asking what he expects them to do.

You think that's 'jumped up and un-needed' for some reason.

I think it's a perfectly reasonable question Shrug
