Am I the only one who thinks Adams should be in the side?

Adams should be in the side.  Brez should also be in for no other reason than Hartlepool will be given some "happy" memories.

Smith Ifil Aljofree Vincent

McGovern Easton Peacock Roberts

Paynter Cox

This could work if Paynter is ok for 90 mins.

Subs  Blackburn, Brezovan,Mohammed, Arrieta,Pook

Smith J is on a 'warning', in my opinion he was our worst player v Yeovil .

For the Vincent knockers, I didn't see their much vaunted right winger tearing us apart did you ? (assuming he played that is). I appear to be the only one who thinks Smith P should have done better for the goal, like trying to come and catch it, but I might revise that when I see a replay.

that was the only game in recent memory where smith (jack) has been shocking. vincent has had a series of shit, average or mediocre games and he does not suit luggy's desired style of play.

hence why i'm being harsher on vincent than smith, who was also dogshit yesterday

Zaboob was awful today, it should have been him to go off instead of roberts. JP and zaboob both play a crossing game. Roberts offers something else as well as crossing - pace to get past people and shoot. JP and Roberts can then swap sides every now and again.

Agreed, give Roberts a chance, Zabollocks was rubbish and probably can't even hold his own balls let alone a football.

...boys in but these people have come to the show and done well for me. I thought they deserved one more game to be loyal to them.

Clearly Zaboub is to be dropped from the team. How clear does he need to make it Smiley

My thoughts after my first game of the season. Evidently our worst performance of the season but.

Phil Smith - Safe as houses, kicked well under pressure.

Defence - Solid, Aljofree looked class and Ifil is excellent, very strong, good in the tackle and dependable. Jack Smith looked decent enough at right back and Vincent looked ok.

Midfield - Liked the look of Easton, put himself about and didn't waste many chances. Pook, gives the ball away too much, much improved from 2 seasons ago but still not a good player. Roberts for me is too obvious, cuts inside all the time and usually ends up giving the ball away because of this. Zaboob was ok, crossing pretty poor although good play to set up JP to spoon the ball wide.

Forwards - Weak. Sturrock runs into the channels well but then has nobody to support and loses the ball. Peacock is not the answer up front and works very hard, I would put him in Midfield instead of Pook. I was reasonably impressed with Paynter in the short period of time and would play him and another

Smith

Smith Ifil Aljofree Vincent
Roberts Peacock Easton Comminges (Can cross better then Sofi surely??)
Paynter Cox/Arrieta (not seen him but better than Sturrock surely??)

You have forgotten McGovern, I'd play him over Commingues as deserves longer on the pitch to show us what he can do.

That might be a solution to the Vincent dilemma.  Both full backs were poor all game yesterday.

Not good when Smith and Roberts are bitching at each other in the 1st 10-15 mins of a match.

I would like to see:

Smith

Smith
Ifil
Aljofree
Zaaboob/Comminges (can he play here?)

McGovern
Easton/Peacock
Adams
Roberts

Paynter (looked good yesterday IMHO)
Arrieta/Mohammed/Cox (in that order)
