Am i the only one that thinks people should end the "ooooohhhhhhh, ooooohhh ohhhh ohhh etc etc FUCK OFF!!" chant by saying swindon instead??
It would make more sense that, when we're one-nill down we try and sing songs about our own team, instead of telling the opposition to fuck off. I love it. Firstly its a really really gay chant. Proper happy clappy football, so the 'fuck off' gives it a bit of credibility. Second, were the only ones who do it, and weve always done it. Away fans dont expect it nowadays and the look on their faces is priceless sometimes. As for the group of younguns, every club has its little scallies. Always have. The problem is the people in the top corner of the Nationwide cant clap to save their lives. we even play the actual tune before the game, and they still clap too fast. The Town End start the chant and the Nationwide join in and finish like 5 seconds before the Town End. The question is though, are the top corner of the NW singing and clapping too fast, or are the Town End too slow. As I said before the game, we actually play the tune to the fuck off song over the tannoy when it starts up the Nationwide join in clapping and get to the fuck off part before the tune over the tannoy. |
