. Quite alot of scottish families use surnames as middle names rather than the english habit of having christian names as middle names. I guess it's a way of keeping the mother's family surname alive. That is exactly why former Arsenal 'keeper and (former?) pundit Bob Wilson has the somewhat unfortunate middle name of 'Primrose'.
