Exactly, McGoldrick wanted to be near his midlands based family, and Sturrock may not have wanted Barnard. My spurs fan mate thinks he's shit anyway.

I don't give a fuck whether we get another forward. I think we'll cope for the season as we are. We create alot, and we still have 3 strikers who haven't played yet (bar substitutions) who could do a job.

Who says a loan will be better than Kaid and Arrieta?

Im sorry but I really beg to differ.  Previous games have showed that yes we are creating a lot but the balls haven't ended up in the back of the net - thus needing a somewhat clinical finisher (well as clinical as you can get for league one).

we've still managed to score 4 goals in the 3 league games we've played.

I still think we need another striker upfront....but with Corr out injured and seemingly a good striker.....we dont need someone long term, that why I think we'll get someone in on loan for 3 months. Then that will be terminated/extended depending on Corr

I still wish we'd snapped up Adam Boyd on a free...

Yes I will, if the only players that Sturrock could have brought in are no better than what we have got. Id rather get someone in, but we dont want Sturrock to do what Gorman did towards transfer deadline in the premiere league by bringing in shite players like McAvennie, Sanchez a nd Kilcline to name but a few.

all i can say is i've been totally impressed by our chelts and luton performances as a whole... whereas for as long as i can remember id say "played well shit" if someone asked me how we got on... we didnt even win at cheltenham but we performed... in that sense i think we'll cope this year without another signing although it's always fun when we do get anyone.

thumbs up from me for dobie though- got more pedigree than the rest of our strikers put together.

I still think we need someone long term personally.  I think Corr will be great injury permitting but we need someone to play off him.  Yes we have started the season well but lets not get carried away if we had a decent front man we would have 9 points sat on the board.

A striker is a must for us to push on now, the one thing I am finding hard to understand is if we have bid £125k/250k for Easter why are we not bidding money for other strikers surely hes not Sturrock's only permanent target.

I remain hopeful we will pull a striker out the hat before midnight  :?

Well i wont be losing any sleep over it thats for sure. What is the point of panic buying and paying over the odds for a striker that hasnt exactly set the world on fire and no team in their right mind is going to release someone this early in the season.Strange things have happened,Last season Blair could do no wrong and was a welcome addition to the squad and 3 or 4 games in you would think that he was the anti christ! Get real people, this is Swindon Town not Real Madrid.
