Club Statement will consist of "we can confirm an approach from Leicester City regarding the services of Paul Sturrock". and continue "however he has 11 months of an 18 month contract to run and we will do everything to retain his services." (que new contract offer)... Then mandric will add a 0 onto the end of the checque, Sandy Gray will get confused but think we are minted, Mandric will smile because he put the 0 after the decimal point and Luggy will be gone. Or not. We'll see.

What about this "no get out" clause? Is that not tying him to STFC at least to the end of the season?

I'd 2nd that Jan.
Be nothing short of a disaster if he left. Deja Vu what with Wise leaving last season.
We can't go through that again surely. Im lost for words at the mo... im just gonna second you lady! I'd love to go to the CG and handcuff him to the new railings in the Town End......

if he goes then i think it would be terrible for stfc.i honestly think he could be the best manager we've had since macari.if there has been interference from the new board elect and brevett then that could swing it.higher league, bigger fan base ect ect could also tempt him.that said, having mandaric as chairman could be a blessing for us as he is proven to unsettle managers.

Errrm, it could be Leicester or any other club without a manager/looking to change manager.
When you have a decent manager he's always going to be linked to other teams. It's inevitability.

Could someone cut and paste the text. Can't access the link from work. Ta. Swindon Town Football Club would like to confirm that it has received no approach from any club with regard to manager Paul Sturrock. The club would also like to confirm that any approach would not be welcome and the club remain committed to League One success under Paul Sturrock's guidance.

The statement basically reads - no approach and won't accept one. Whether it holds out remains to be seen as I think the same happened with Wise to begin with, then it changed to derisory offer and all talks were off, followed by seeing him at Leeds.
