AND FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T VIEW THE O.S

The Club can categorically deny the implications in today's Swindon Advertiser that the Castro brothers have or will have any interest in the takeover of Swindon Town Football Club.

Jordao, who is a representative of the Castro brothers agency, has introduced two players to the club on trial. That has been the only contact between the club and the Castro brothers business.

Contrary to reports, no talks have taken place with the Castro brothers and none are planned in relation to the takeover of the club.

Best Holdings SGPS.S.A. are committed to the long-term development of the club both on and off the pitch and further details of their plans will be forthcoming in due course.

It's like a game of guess who. However, I think that one side might be cheating.

Hmmmm.

Castro brothers = Portuguese.

Best Holdings = Portuguese.

Nah, must be a complete coincidence. I believe the club. Honest.

Let's face it reading PD's bit of digging about agents and clubs, its unlikely they'll want it advertised.....

The Club is being naive or misleading.

The controlling interest in the Club will be shortly held by Best Holdings. The Chairman elect has said it's pointless giving  names in Best holdings as it's fluid and they will come and go. So if they want in, all the Castratos have to do is buy in to Best Holdings

They've probably already been talking to Best's larger investors and maybe the Board ( present, interim or future--god knows!) don't know this. Doubtless we'll see them swanning around at training sessions soon.

It's only Best holdings who can speak on this sort of thing with any authority so perhaps Big Jim should say something if the Club want to be taken seriously on their statements.

Club statement certainly seems to differ from the Castro's interpretation both in the UK and Portuguese press - they certainly seem under the impression they are involved and/or in talks. Hmm.

I do hope that you are not questionning the sincerity, honesty, truthfullness and integrity of the Swindon Town board Paul.

The Adver article said "... The agency, which deals predominantly in young Brazilian talent, told the Swindon Advertiser "first talks" were about to held with the new owners - and admitted they could have some sort of involvement by the end of the season."

So they are not involved in the takeover, allegedly, but are dealing with the new owners whoever they may be even though they haven't actually completed the purchase yet!

Simple really, just take away the first takeover you thought of.

Methinks they doth protest too much, and I don't mean the busybodies behind the Arkells.

The first takeover I took away was Diamandis & Will's contribution of all that season ticket money, shirt sales, Jukebox sale etc etc.

Another coming of age article from the Adver draws a vociferous denial from the club. The Adver really have grown some balls over recent weeks (and not before time) and have enough evidence to have the club pretty much permanently on the back foot. Which of course leads to masterpiece statements like today and therefore leads me to conclude that all is not rosy in the SN1 garden...

Keep probing Adver. The truth is out there...

Heaven forfend. However with today's swift contradiction of what the Castro bros appear to be saying to the press both here and overseas, and Saturday's "Swiss Bob" statement, they do appear to be getting themselves in a bit of a tizz about the whole takeover "is it or isn't it?" thing. A more cynical mind might find such defensiveness suspicious. Personally, I'm inclined to put it down to a genuine desire to communicate more openly with supporters and as such only to be welcomed. I'm sure in this spirit, we'll see a further clarification within the next few days that will finally reveal properly who the new owners really are and clear up all doubt and mystery. That'll sort out the cynics and naysayers - like that Maverick, for one  Cheesy
