I've heard they're taking the seats out of the Town End and returning it to a terrace. A gesture of good will from the new investors/board to the fans, apparently.

Seriously though, the OS says that Charlton have been allocated the Stratton Bank...that suggests to me people from the townend will be moved up to the end of the Arkells, or is that off limits for home fans? Looking on the Online seat booker, it looks fairly busy...few spare seats at the Town end side of the Nationwide and Arkells.

It was from a reliable source though  Soapy Tit Wank

We should get 8000, maybe 9000 depending on how many Charlton bring.

It is true, I just phoned and got my tickets. A whole pound more expensive (as students) !

Nice of them to tell us.

I think that most teams will just be allocated just the Bank this season

That's shit then. I guess I could view it as an 'upgrade', but nobody sits in the town end for the view!

I refuse to beleive they have shut the TE due to  poor sales. Surely we will have more than 5k - a number which the Town End was still open for business in the past.

I guess H&SE may have made them make barrier changes at short notice (if that is the reason). I guess better shut Tuesday than Saturday mind...

Wouldn't suprise me to see a new barrier infront of the front row of seats in place, especially after the last game of last season where several hundred spent the 2nd half up stood down the front.

I hear they're shutting the Town End to remove all the seats then refit them facing away from, the pitch, a gesture of goodwill from the new owners apparently.

Went to the ticket office today, and its true. Everybody who has a town end ticket has to go to the town end turnstiles, and will then be given a ticket to the arkells. All the people who bought a town end ticket will be put in the left bit of the arkells stand, the bit with the tacky blue seats.

I suppose it means we get a better view...
And everybody from the TE will be together so should still make some noise.
I still say it sounds stupid though! They have had all summer to do this
