In desperation I subscribed to STFC World when the site came up after half time, and the Brunel commentary is still not available.

Listening to the Northamption commentary.

The commentary situation is a bunch of arse!

Thought the overall 'package' was worse than BBC's. The actual commentary was just 'OK', I think that will improve once they do a few matches and get a bit more familiar with things.

Back to BBC for post match reaction (they say it's coming).

Thought the commentary on Brunel was poor, the co commentator was awful kept being cut off and didn't know what to say, the girl on the touchline was ok sometimes, but they need to improve big time.

The way they was taking I thought the penalty had gone to n'hamton, and listening to RS match summary I know now how it was conceded (ball bouncing off the ground and the guy had his arm out)

At least if you switch back after the game to RS you get the interviews by someone who asks the right questions

I thought the commentary was ok on Brunel from what I heard.

The touchline girl is a bit lost at times but it breaks up the commentary ok.

I tried to see how far I could get it on my way home.  Doesn't it play a pile of shite, who wants to hear YMCA. I gave up, and changed stations.

Spot on. I'm not that fussed about the pre-match and post match stuff (but i accept some of you do). For fans like myself who just listen to the actually game commentary then the service provided by Brunel FM was more than adequate, if not quite up to BBC standard. Given the fact it was their first live game for us i'm sure they will improve as the season goes on and we get used to the new commentary team.

The commentary was no worse than BBC's, at least you didn't have Ed Hadwins crazy panic whenever the opposition got near our 18 yard box.

The only problem for me was when we got the penalty, they made out it was Northamptons at first! Apart from that there was nothing wrong with it, and having the touchline updates from marie was a nice little feature.
