Released by the Scotch Jam Tarts last season and had this to say in an interview the cheeky fucker.

Most players would give their left testicle for a shot at full time football and I can understand the Physio bit but surely he could do both or wait until his career is over.

Quote
After being released by the Jambos the 21-year-old signed on at Irish club Crusaders.

"It was very disappointing to be released by Hearts but I got offered a one-year full-time contract at Swindon," he said.

"I turned it down because I believe if you are to play full-time and make a career you need to make enough to retire at 35.

"If you cannot make the money there is no point playing full-time.

"Some full-time players are on £450 to £500 per week but you cannot retire on that.

"You are better using your time to qualify for a career that will last you after football is finished.

"That is why I am studying to be a physiotherapist at Robert Gordon University because I can balance that with playing part-time.

"If the chance to go full-time came up again I would take it, but it would have to be with a decent club."

What a nob jockey.

Earning £450 - £500 a week at 21 is fine, you work your way up!

I hope he gets injured so he can practice his physiotherpary on himself.

I'd have come in my pants to earn the best part of £2k a month at 21 FOR PLAYING FOOTBALL.

What a twat. His hearts not in it so I'm glad we've not signed him

If he doesn't think he's good enough to use Swindon to get a higher wage here or elsewhere in the future then he's probably doing the right thing.

Perhaps some of you should try reading that again beause to me, what he is saying makes perfect sense.

I fail to see how any of it makes him a cunt or a nob jockey or a moron

That's what I have a problem with.

He was clearly expecting it on a plate. You start at the bottom and work your way up, not go off and cry when you don't get the money you want.

I wanted to earn loads of cash in IT when I was 17 so I got a support job in for £9k a year, I didn't complain and worked my way up and now I earn what I aspired to when I was younger. I didn't think "Fuck I.T, I'm gonna do something else..." and then bitch about it.

But you've got longer to work on an IT career. At 21 in league 2 there's a good chance he could drop down the leagues and the £400-£500 a week is the best he'll ever get. Then at 35 he'll have to find something else.

If he wants a long term career instead of football then fair enough.

There’s no reason why he couldn't be studying for his physo exams while playing full time football.  In fact the two are probably quite complimentary together.

Seems a bit short sited and comes across as just greed.  A couple of lads at Uni who had just left scholarships at pro clubs carried on playing non-league on top of their course and lets face it the life of the student and footballer are hardly paths where spare time is at a premium.

Take 2k a month and take your chances or play non-league scotch football in the hope that a ‘big’ club is going to pick you up and pay your pension.  Madness, pure madness I tell thee…
