pretty poor on the wings with little firepower up front, My main concern after Tuesday aswell JJ For a manager that puts such owness on getting balls into the box early I really think that Roberts and the Boob are not cutting the mustard. Whip the ball early doors into the mixer and who knows what Arrieta and the Prophet will do Dissapointed Onus? :? Good shout RRR Been in the pub all afternoon

I went today, and Ive got to say Im extremely dissapointed. Weve got the back 5 of a Championship team and the front 6 of a league 2 side. OK Roberts and Zaaboub arent interested in these games, but I worry, especially about Roberts, they were both dire. Adams looks a simmilar standard to Pook at the moment and needs to get up to standard sharpish. Only Easton looks quality of the attacking players weve brought in.
Positives are all at the back, Brez is back. Aljofree looks absolute class (fingers crossed on the injury). Commingues looks really useful, if a bit of a luxury player. Even Blackburn looks a very good centre back.
We havnt seen Peacock in this new side and hopefully he will start in the middle with Easton. This match at Exeter wasnt worth the 5er to get in. Our balls into the final 3rd were woeful. We spent so little time attacking it was difficult to gauge the performances of the front players. Arrierta was set up with a chance, and missed. I think he and Kaid are complete gambles, so fingers crossed. I like Blair, but again he offers no assurances.
Ive never been one to advocate selling a player, but having 2 quality goalkeepers is rediculous when you consider how lightweight we are up front. If we are docked 10 points I think we will struggle this season, I take no pleasure in saying that whatsoever.

Without a doubt we will struggle with goals as it stands from what I saw today.
There was plenty of effort out there but not enough ability nor chances created.
Aljofree, Comminges, Blackburn and Easton should all be good signings.
I would've liked Exeter to have attacked more to see how Brezovan is getting on - but when called upon he looked comfortable.

Spot on once again Spence however, if we cant deliver quality balls into the box then what chance have we got to score. Sturrock likes to play a certain way, and rightly or wrongly that's the way we will play. The problem is we can't We demand good early balls in the box to unsettle and give problems and our boys to pounce on bits and pieces, and we cant even deliver. Dont bemoan the lack of a goalscorer when we cannot even make goal scoring opportunities I said after Tuesday's game that Roberts and Boob are our problem

If Zaaboub is that bad at the moment, would it be worth trying Nicholas down the left?
I know its a player out of position, but I dont see why he couldnt at least be tried there...

anybody wearing gloves in the peak of summer is obviously a fruitcake.plus he dives and throws his toys out too often for my liking.he aint all that at all. roberts is a talent,no question but 1 good game in 7ish aint good enough.the bloke lacks desire and motivation imo.
plenty of nil-nils me thinks this season

I think Zaaboub is the lesser worry. All of whats been said is true, hes a nutter for wearing them gloves and he was the worst diver I saw last season. But I think he gets motivated by the crowd. He tends to come good when its needed.
Roberts is turning into a bit of a Danny Invincible style player. You know he's got it, but you wonder how long your going to have to wait before he gives it to you. They arent really comparable players, Roberts has much more skill than Invincible ever did, but most of his passing/crossing today was terrible.
On the bright side, Exeters interesting ground and that mouthy manc twat Terry Cristian being quite funny on Talksport on the way home.

We shouldn't start getting too worried.
They won't play next Saturday like they did today.
We've got to remember today was a nothing match and while the concerns are still there re firepower and creativity, I think we'll see much more effort and application in games that mean something.
That's what I hoping anyway.............................................. :?
