Think it was back in 1997... Change of Govn was the thing that killed it

I think it changed again recently so you can now house a casino within a hotel and leisure complex.

What would be his motive then, Casino on the CG site once Diamandis has moved the club to Chippenham? Thats the only reason I can think of as I can't see anyone that is in the 'super rich' bracket investing in us as there isn't exactly much to invest in at present with huge debts and pretty much no assets.

I'm not saying I believe it at all, but someone with a personal fortune of $7bn is not going to be put off by £2m debt.

I don't believe it would be him anyway, whoever came up with this name has really pulled it out of left field.

That might be a fantastic outcome if it were them.

They would want to develop in a population centre ie in Swindon itself, not out in the wilds.
A tie up with a football club might be a great way of 'buying' themselves into the local community, ready for a huge casino.
The obvious posibility of a joint casino/football ground redevelopment somewhere in the town.

and they might be professional enough to demand complete confidentiality until the deal is done.

Amazing what a great scenario you can paint from a few completely unconnected facts.
