has a team ever finished on minus point before? as in getting a 10 pint deduction and then having a shit season and ending in minus still Conference North Table 2006-07 below. Lancaster City had a 10 point deduction and ended on 1!! Although there were a lot of problems which contributed to that. Conference North table 2006/07 FINAL TABLE Pos. Team Pl. GD Pts. 1 Droylsden (C) 42 30 78 --- ----------------------- ---- ---- --- 2 Kettering Town 42 17 73 3 Workington 42 15 70 4 Hinckley United 42 14 69 5 Farsley Celtic 42 7 68 --- ----------------------- ---- ---- --- 6 Harrogate Town 42 17 67 7 Blyth Spartans 42 8 66 8 Hyde United 42 17 65 9 Worcester City 42 13 62 10 Nuneaton Borough 42 9 60 11 Moor Green 42 2 59 12 Gainsborough Trinity 42 -6 56 13 Hucknall Town 42 0 54 14 Alfreton Town 42 -6 54 15 Vauxhall Motors 42 -2 51 16 Barrow 42 -1 50 17 Leigh RMI 42 -14 49 18 Stalybridge Celtic 42 -17 49 19 Redditch United 42 -7 48 --- ----------------------- ---- ---- --- 20 Scarborough (R) 42 5 45 21 Worksop Town (R) 42 -18 45 22 Lancaster City (R) 42 -83 1

If teh mystery investor so beloved of Dell Boy and Maverick comes in and takes over the club, then he may want his own man...its what happens.
Personally I don't think Sturrock will be hanging about for too long, in the same way I suggested that Wise wouldn't hang about for too long.
For a successful individual, I'd imagine its more or less impossible to work with the clowns at our club....the likes of :king: or Iffy, are happy to try because its a job.

The most I'll ever be is 100% behind him. same here...i'm a rational kind of guy I'm riding this band wagon You 110 percenters are just a bunch of wankers - FACT! i max out at 105% just like the forum...105 is the future I'm happy to go with the full 110% as it then allows room for a 10pt deduction

I can't see Sturrock leaving to be honest unless of course we become a non-league club overnight. So lets hope the mystery man does appear in the next week to 10 days or we will all be up the creek without a paddle, pro Consortium or not. If thats what you want for Swindon Town Reg then give yourself a big smile

i'd rather see the club go under and start afresh than continue indefinitely under the incumbent ownership. at least that way it would be our club again.

Can't we scrape some cash together, buy Supermarine, change their name to The Real STFC, sign up the Swindon youth team (they do this bit anyway), submith a planning application for the site and start a better team?
