On a general wikipedia browse I noticed that Ocean Colour Scene released a new album a few months ago. It's called "On the Leyline". Apparently it didn't make much of a splash in the music world, only getting to #37 in the album charts. I didn't even know it existed, anybody know if it's any good? I'll probably get hold of it anyway.

Just listening to it now. Only on track 3, it seems ok, but lacking any energy their old stuff had. Seems a bit like Ocean Colour Scene by numbers. They are all getting on a bit though I suppose.

Maybe a hundred mile high city or riverboat song style jobby will pop up somewhere, I doubt it though.

I got this a few weeks ago. It's ok, but not as good as their old stuff.

I agree with mex, it's just dull. They should just tour and play their old stuff.

It was a bit tongue in cheek, I thought they'd done little but tour for years. They always seemed to be playing everywhere every year when I was at uni.

I'll check them out now Mr. Mex.

I thought Absolute Dancer was a bit shit, the other songs were pretty good though. Sort of like Chikinki. Well the heavier Chikinki songs anyway.

Didn't like the rest either, sorry!

That is a fair and valid point. However my money is as good as anyone elses and I won't be purchasing any of Maths Class's 'work' unfortunately.
