hi mate, i have all my ipod music & films on my pc but my ipod holds as much as my PCand im out of space!! do i have to keep all my music and films on my pc all the time? or is there an alternative like a external hard drive or something

to save hassel buy an external HHD, use your PC's exisitng HDD for IPOD stuff, because i know IPODs can be tempremental when moving files about etc... and use an external one for normal day use, pick em up cheap in maplins  decent size for about 60/70 quid

oh ok so its best to buy an external hard drive, so how do they work? is it always connected to the pc?

TBH i've never used one, im guessing they use USB connection and just makes a vitual drive on your PC and when saving stuff make sure you save it to its designated drive e.g F:\
It doesnt need to be permanently attached to your PC either, you can take it with you wherever you want.

so i just connect it to my pc wheneva i update my ipod with new music/films etc?

USB. I have one. Shows up just as a normal hard drive. You can keep it connected permanently if you want
