....so Oliver Allen is the grandson of Les Allen our worst ever manager, also the nephew of Paul, who some will recall with a short lived fondness.....there was me thinking it would be Grazioli who would come back to haunt us.

  The thought of some of Les's signings is enough to cause a week of sleepless nights.

I thought allen was one of the best players on the pitch last night, alongside sinclair and bailey for them.

The Adver says that Clive Allen is 'Swindon bred', suggesting that he is 'from' Swindon. That is surely more Adver bollocks?

Similarly, his kid, Oliver can't be from Swindon as that would mean Clive Allen lived in the town as well.

They're getting a bit over-excited with their Swindon connections I think.

Shame really that Les was such a shite manager as Clive became a million pound player in the late 70's.....when they were rare. I suppose had Les still been boss the youthful Clive would have turnrd out for us,
