Just back from 2 days event managing Kings of Leon at the racecourse ground in Wrexham. The glamour, when will it start.
Sadly I didn't manage to put Paul Mullin out for the next season. But he was there having a very nice time.

OSees in Bristol last night.
Genuinely superb. The hype about them as a live band is more than justified. Can't believe it's took me this long to get round to seeing them.

I entered a Sky VIP ballot for the Forest Live event next weekend and i've got two tickets for Jack Savoretti on Saturday 10th June going begging.
If anyone can make use of them DM me.
The booking confirmation is in my name, but I can pass it on to friends/family.

Just back from the Vic to see a Depeche Mode tribute (enjoy the silence).

Weller last night at Westonbirt. Back on form for me as have been giving him a wide berth for the last five years. Great to see a brass section giving some new energy to a good mix of old and new.

Manic Street Preachers in Bath tonight.
A warm up in a smallish venue, should be good.

In our local on Saturday night I had a fascinating conversation with a Welsh guy called Chop, who lives on a canal boat and used to drive buses for musicians. One of the many questions I asked of course was who were the best and worst people he's driven for/spent time with. He said Sinead O'Connor was the nicest and the Manics were worst. 'Arrogant pricks' I think was the expression used. A real shame as I love them as a band.

There is always an element of horses for courses when it comes to judging people I guess. It's all about the music.

very true. I guess the expression 'never meet your heroes' is designed for that very reason.
