twickets are a fan to fan sale site. usually face value. I used them recently to get some James tickets at Bath. The ticket was delivered instantly by email but I guess it depends on the original system - might need to meet the seller.

edit: damn, can't see editors. will leave this here anyway

https://www.twickets.live/

The gig was cancelled due to illness and I was supposed to contact seller, but they were on the ball and that side is sorted (i.e. twickets didn't do it automatically).
---
it's always worth giving the venue a ring for returns/late release etc. Did this on the day a couple of times and got lucky.

viagogo are a rip off the desperate website.

Thanks Batch for that, seems really useful.

Is there such a thing as a 'second hand' ticket website? Editors are playing a gig locally and it's sold out so was soldering the there is any way of getting tickets from people that can no longer make it.

Any assistance/advice appreciated.

Twickets, as Batch mentioned, are good. Also TicketSwap.

They’re the two I use that sell closer to face value, as opposed to the people trying to make a few quid.

I’ve also sold on both, and have had no issues.

is it a local warm up gig or a proper gig?

e.g. it it was Swindon wyvern I'd also check Facebook marketplace but wouldn't let money leave in anything other than face to face exchange of cash and tickets

Aside from Twickets I would suggest seeking out an Editors fan forum and posting on there. Most fan communities hate the main secondary sites like Viagogo (which is to be avoided like the plague), so fan to fan sales/swaps are quite common.

Whatever you do don't use viagogo.  That one is dodgy as fuck.

recently I've noticed how expensive gigs have got (as with everything) but was pleasantly surprised to see that a day of music with some tremendous live acts is around £50. Sadly it's in Darlington but it's tempting to make a weekend of in the August sunshine/drizzle.

Teenage Fanclub in Granada in October, making a weekend of it, will have cooled down there by then to a nice 25, tapas, Alhambra and Glasgow's finest

That's very reasonable.

Holy fuck, I might have to do this. I need to head back to Spain anyway.
But two of my fave things. Absolute love Granada and Spain in October as well as TFC.

I take it now that I'm going, you won't be so you'll give me your ticket gratis Mex?  Cheesy

Arctic Monkeys tonight  Pint.

At Ashton Gate, unfortunately, but very much looking forward to it. Few beers in the Bristol sunshine before hand, should be a good day.
