Well.

FB's story of chilli and bottoms which jogged my memory of chilli and contact lenses, reminded of something that happened during said snooker match.

I'd recently upgraded to a Samsung X820 phone. Shit battery, super thin, and recently converted MP3 ring tone of the Borat theme tune.

The thing is, it was so fin you forgot it was in your pocket. With this in mind I always used to keep in front pocket to avoid sitting down incidents of snappage. The problem is, when  you play snooker, and strect over the table for a long pot, this happens.

 Oops

The ribbon cable was all that held the 2 parts together. With some cunning use of sellotpate I was able to get the fucker back on and use the data cable to save all my numbers. I'm back on my Sony now and needless to say when I get another new-un next month, the X820 is not at the top of my list.

Dunno what they cost, about £150 for just the handset I think, was £30 on an upgrade but a work phone so I don't pay anyway. Will see what's about next month as the Sony is pants which was why I went for this in the 1st place...

Anyone suggest a decent phone for my next upgrade??

That new Nokia they showed on the gadget show looked something special. Not sure if it's out yet

K800i is not bad at the moment, bit hefty but sturdy enough and cracking camera.

Nokia and Samsung appear to have employed chimps to design their handsets of late.  While Motorola are the equivalent of an Italian sports car, great until you look under the bonnet.

N95 off the gadget show looks sterling but will be a fucking huge clumsy beast. Should be the first HSDPA (3.5G) handset to hit the shelves.  The Motorola Maxx is not far off either, I had a blast on the beta version months ago and looks slick but won’t have the same features and nowhere near the 5 mp camera.
