A great 3-0 win by Swindon at Yeovil today, Town were totally in control from the 1st minute to the last.

CCP scored from a free kick taken by Rigley in the 33rd minute and Brown scored with a 20 yarder in the 44th minute, CCP knocked in another from a free kick by Brown in the 46th minute.

Swindon fielded a very strong side with CCP, Nicholas, Weston, Brown, Jukebox and Sturrock playing the full 90 minutes.

Kyle Critchell a trialist from Southampton looked very strong and fast at right back and kept Alex Rhodes out of the game for Yeovil.

Weston and Brown were superb all game making many runs from midfield and creating several chances for Swindon, one of which was missed with an open goal by Scott Doe who looked a little off the pace in central midfield.

Sturrock ran round a lot, mad a couple of good passes otherwise he was quiet.

Jukebox looked lively second half as did Nicho. Stewart looked very comfortable in goal and CCP kept thier trialist striker Danny Blair out of the game.

Overall a good performance against a mostly poor and inexperienced Yeovil team with the exception of Rhys Weston at right back, the former Wales international was run ragged by Brown all game and came off early. Alex Rhodes was very poor up against Critchell.

A good performance overall with Swindon looking like the home side.

If we put ot a strong team you would expect a win but 3-0 is a decent result whichever way you look at it.
Hopefully the Palace game has inspired some of the players to perform at a slightly better level. Those involved now know they can do it, and those who weren't know they could have to work hard to get into the side

No.

He's already stated he wants competition for all places. If he brings a youngster in that's better than what we had in the reserves, that's a good thing.

Jack Smith's going nowhere................

With Gurney gone maybe he thinks we need some cover for that position other than an out of position Ricky Shakes.
