It is real blood - they cut themselves with razor blades that the ref gives them/they have hidden in their boots/tights etc. The bloodflow will of course stop naturally

the long haired one out of dx was bleeding (allegedly) from a head wound, he went on to head but and fight more but was miraculously free from blood by the end.

from Wiki:

Blading (professional wrestling)

In professional wrestling, blading, is the practice of cutting oneself to provoke bleeding ("juicing"). Similarly, a blade is an object used for blading, and a bladejob is a specific act of blading. The blood in pro wrestling is generally not, as often suspected, theatrical makeup, but actual blood, and the scars borne by longtime pro wrestlers are real ones. The act is usually done a good length into the match as the blood will mix with the flowing sweat to make the wound look like much more blood is flowing from it than there actually is.

In modern North American pro wrestling, blading is almost exclusively performed by and on male performers; blading of women is extremely rare due to the risk of adverse publicity and the increasing use of female performers as "eye candy."

Typically, a wrestler will blade his forehead, often with a razor or other blade hidden in the tape covering his fingers or part of his hand(s). However, the wrestler always runs the risk of cutting too deeply and slicing an artery in the forehead. This has happened several times; in one recent instance, Eddie Guerrero did this during the 2004 Judgment Day PPV, resulting in blood loss severe enough to affect him for the next two weeks of shows. Perhaps the most famous such incident was a bladejob performed by Japanese wrestler The Great Muta in a 1992 match with Hiroshi Hase; the amount of blood Muta lost was so great that many smarks to this day judge bladejobs on the Muta Scale, however the Muta Scale is now out of style. The Mercury Scale has come into vogue after Joey Mercury was hit with a ladder causing a tremendous amount of blood loss in mere seconds at Armageddon 2006. Another such incident was during an ECW house show when a young wrestler known as Mass Transit forged documents and lied to ECW General Manager Paul Heyman about his age and amount of training. He then asked his opponent, New Jack to blade him. According to New Jack himself on the Forever Hardcore DVD he did it deliberately because he didn't tell him specifically what he wanted and because he plain didn't like the guy.

ok, so if it is real blood(still not 100% convinced in all cases) and they cut themselves.why not let the chairs cut them instead of putting their hands up and blatantly stopping the blows that the commentators say cause the injurys?
wrestlers causing their own injurys is ridiculous imo.what a pathetic form of entertainment.so called matches that are fixed, injurys inflicted deliberatly on themselves, and diobolical acting.

i also liked the way the two other wrestlers climbed onto the tables themselves at the end for more "punishment" Soapy Tit Wank
its just shit slapstick comedy, hope my lad grows out of watching the shit so i dont have to endure anymore of it.

These boys are nails. Check this out:

D-Generation X v Rated RKO at WWE's New Year's Revolution PPV will always stick in our heads for another reason - the guts of Triple H.

If any regular person tore a quadriceps tendon they would barely even be able to get to the phone to call a doctor, let alone finish a wrestling match in front of thousands of fans.

But that is exactly what Triple H did - battling through what must have been unbearable pain for five minutes to finish his bout.
