despite most of the grounds being empty FA Cup attendences this weekend were the highest in 25 years  you have to take in to account man u's massive extension 75,000 their the weekend and liverpool playing arsenal in round three.

Liverpool and Man U are two of the teams who would always be near sell out irrespective of opposition. It could be equally argued that Man City, Newcastle and Arsenal who have the three biggest other grounds in the country were all away.

Thanks very much for the feedback especially Simon. A lot of useful information their, especially the data on sky and the attendances which I couldn't find. I'm in a similar position to you as although there have been a lot of articles, books etc they all seem to say the same things so i've got to trawl through them all. I owe you several pints for this as a lot of that data is stuff I haven't been able to find so far. Can you PM me your name please so I can acknowledge you in the dissertation?

Football dissertations are AMAZING. Regards, Rich "also doing a football dissertation" Pullen I once did a dissertation on the effects of excessive nitrate fertilisers on lumbricoid worms......it wasn't amazing the :doobie: whilst I contemplated my chosen patch of planet Earth....was compensation, however.

Nice, but Elle is nicer. Anyone see the new people today? They've got to be the most annoying new batch since the Martins
