6. Got 3 for driving without care and attention (Which was bollocks, didn't know where I was going so I had directions on a piece of paper which I was holding along with the steering wheel) The other 3 were for going through a red light on the way back from Shrewsbury. The ticket stated that I was doing 14 mph when I went through it!

I'm such a boy racer...................

There was no-one else on the road. Its all about money!  :x

I had 9 all for speeding the last three points was for doing 110 down the 419/417 from cheltenham to swindon. Got caught by the lorry parking area, the van was hiding between 2 lorries. The first 6 points all on the same stretch of motorway on the m25 got caught doing 90 and 100 on the same day soapy tit wank.

According to the guidelines, you should get 5-6 points inf you're  caught going 26-35mph over the limit, and a 1-12 month ban for anything over, you're either lying or were extremely lucky to just get 3 points for going 110mph in a 70.

I have 6 at the moment. Both for speeding but both coming off in April. Was on 9 at one point. You feel a complete tit actually following all speed limits!

Try it, you'll see what I mean.

i was caught buy a speed camera and all i got is fixed penalty and points. If you get caught doing over 100mph by traffic police i think its an automatic ban. I it came through the door and i just sent license and cheque off to pay it and get points put on. Never even had a summons even though i thought i would loose my license and get a big fine

Also think it's to do with what county you get caught in and what time too. You read about people doing 100mph down motorway at 3 in morning and only get points and a fine. But do the same at dinner time you are looking at more points and fines.

I also think its got something to do with breaking the law.47mph in a 40 suggests so anyway

My point is that I wasn't overly rushing, on a sunday night, the only person I could've killed would've been myself. They take it to extremes sometimes to pocket extra cash/funding. 47 in 40 is reasonable in my opinion at that time of night on that day.

very true there is no excuse for speeding but most of us do it at some time. The ones that speed in built up areas etc during the day time and have no respect for other people are the ones that do get my back up. If you do the crime you do the time, simple!!

Was on nine for ages which all came off not long ago - had a full house...parking on zig zags by a crossing (was using a cash point and pig was hidden in chippy, cunt), speeding on the motorway (93 at 3am on empty motorway) and running a red light (fair enough).

Back on 3 again now after getting caught speeding again (80 on a dual carriageway at 2am coming home from airport, bastards).

:old: Guys, just obey speed limits right? They're there for a reason, and that reason is to save lives. Someone jumps out in the road and you're going over the speed limit because you "thought it was safe" and they're dead. You blow a tyre on the motorway when you're going over the speed limit because you "thought it was safe" and you're dead. Rant over  :old:

70 on the motorway is too slow in the modern motor vehicle. The speed limit on motorways should be increased to 90 mph.

I always honour speed limits in built up areas and especially villages, as I live in a small village and don't appreciate people speeding past when I stumble out of the local straight onto the main road!

Thats why all cars should not be able to go faster than the speed limit imo.Why should we be able to go over the speed limit just because people want to get places quicker

I did have 9 (6pts for 94mph on an A-road and 3 points for 71 on an A-road) for just under 3 years got shot of all of them and promptly got done for another fucking 3 points (80mph on a dual c/way).

Also cost me £720

to be fair, if someone jumps out on to the road in front of you. The dozy twat would still get hit if you were going the speed limit.
