Your all idiots, protests are not needed surely if the Consortium can table a 'serious' bid...at the minute, having not seen the bid myself, it sounds like it was a bit of a joke despite the hype!

I dont know why I bother reading this crap from you lot, some of you would struggle to put 2 and 2 together let alone have a valid point or be able to contribute to the club as a group.

I say 'Au Revoir' to you all as I truely do not give two shits what any of you think anymore......fuck the Trust, fuck the Consortium, fuck the board....fuck the lot of ya that harp on about making a difference and do nothing constructive!

Protests....what a bunch of morons!

Fuck off then. I'd always thought people overreacted to your reading of the situation, but frankly you can cram it and your superiority complex up your arse now you cock

And I didnt even vote yes.

 I'm with Monte.

I do feel that we need to restrain demonstrations until the orange displays have had time to grow and Mike Wilks has been given time to broker a deal...not sure of a time scale.

Can't you see this is what he wants. You're playing into his own hands!

Any form of 'active' protest can only harm the bid further.

how would say a march through the town pre  match one day play into his hands?
surely it would show fans want change.nothing more!

a march through town would have no effect on mikey d as he wouldn't see it.

it'd only mean the post-christmas sales shoppers would be confused as hell, scared and then complain to the adver about "vicious football hooligans parading through town centre stabbing children".

i want to see direct action immediately, there's not really any point in dilly-dallying around now. i'll support whatever the majority decide to go with but i think we need to notch up the hostility a little.

i was listening to bdp last night and this was sampled, not sure who it's from (amir might know) but i thought it was relevent...

Quote
History can never be made by one man; we must smash this one quickly.

History is made only by the masses of the people this is clear.

Even a cursory glance at the fallacious presentation of history by the American capitalist system will demonstrate just this.

Take George Washington as bad as he is; put him in the middle of Valley Forge by himself surrounded by the British he can do nothing.

Take Martin Luther King as righteous as he is; put him in the middle of Birmingham by himself, speaking out against racism he would be lynched.

But you take this same King, you take this same Washington. Put them in Valley Forge, put them in Alabama.

Surround them with thousands of people who have the same ideas they do willing to make those ideas reality and the situation changes drastically.

i meant an organised march-protest that the police and authoritys would be made aware of in advance.
this would get press and tv recognition imo.

I'd still hold fire for the time being, spread the message and hope everything they come out with merely engenders more and more support for the consortium.

In my opinion it would show some of the other fans that there are rebellious fans trying to destruct the club for no apparent reason. Of course, this conclusion would be nonsensical, but the way Mike D portrays it this would be exactly how he describes as 'destructive behaviour'.

I'd probably hang fire for a few weeks so that the Christmas games are out of the way and give the Consortium time to plan the next move.  With MD out in the open it's easier to see his motivation and tactics.  It's also harder for him to spin as it tends to get spotted - yesterday on the radio it was reported the Wills family appointed him General Manager of the club in 2000;
Today it's.....
“My role at the club is where any board-type decisions are made by all the members of the board I would attend with everybody else. (Huh?!!)

“Other than that, if anything else happens which is unusual I would be involved in that process – whatever that is.

Q:Are you running the club Mike? A: "Yer but, no but...."

I think we should keep up the orange revolution for the time being. Let's set some people on fire.

I think we should seat all the gingers together. Blackcurrent and R4E can be our ginger ambasadors.

Agreed. I can almost see the next club statement after that kind of protest:

"Ooooh, nasty nasty evil Football Trust stirring up trouble and making the fans hate our glorious football club and making our much loved and glorious majority shareholder cry in the Executive Lounge. We call on all true loyal fans to come to the next match with baseball bats and beat these heretics to a pulp (they are ones wearing orange), sack and raze the Trust office to the ground, blah blah blah..."

More orange instead, please.

For now anyway.

I voted no, don't agree with going down the "agro" line!!

Peace brothers.

Why, everytime someone suggests vocal demonstration, it's immediately labelled aggresive?

I'm not advocating violence!!

I agree it should be kept to after the game, but with the shit thats been coming out of the club I feel that it's about time the fans voiced their opinion.

I wasn't talking "agro" in the physical sense.  I meant in the confrontational way.  Unless you plan to sing nursery rhymes behind the Arkells.

I would prefer to continue showing the board that we oppose their regime but can still act in a normal way, just think a vocal protest would alienate more fans away from the fans consortium.

As for Sharky I take it your having a bad day or something, bit over the top fella.
