It will still be the closest league team to me, so probably yes. But nowhere near as often as I do now. As much as I'd be against the move I don't think I could stop supporting Swindon just like that.

Yeah, but it wouldn't be Swindon would it Tails?

I get off and on the M4 at J17 on the way to work every weekday. The sign says "Swindon - 15 miles".

We get worked up but deep down, surely, we know that it won't happen.

I won't go anywhere near Chippenham.

The club is called SWINDON TOWN for a reason.

I love the idea really. Just down the road for me.  Tongue

All I want is a new ground and a future.  So moving to Chippenham, I don't mind. Chippenham have so many glory hunter fans, that all the people that go to the Chippenham games, will go to watch Swindon.

Then saying, I wouldn't like it if we moved further away from my home.

Blinkpip you have just let yourself and the town of Calne town.  Any Caln-ite declaring that he wouldn't mind going to Chippenham needs his head being read.

I wouldn't go. I think there is a rule in place saying a club cant move more than 20 miles from its "natural" home so chippenham, is in that area. Saying that... It would be a shame that all the history we have in Swindon etc would be thrown away. As much as I try to support the club, I couldn't support a move out of Swindon. I have been to every home and away game this season and spent loads of money following this club, however if they move out of the Town I could quite easily find other places to spend this money.

Definitely not. Moving to J17 would be suicidal for the club.
