it's ok seb, you can be my friend. dave's too busy being a hooligan to socialise with us forum types. we can stay in the merlin discussing birdy's latest exploits, flammableben's latest comic and stfcbart's latest rant in safety.

it's simple really dave, stop acting like a knobjockey and "givin' it the biggun" (as you would say) and perhaps you might regain your sense of humour

It's what sailors used to wear.

I think I may have owned a smashing HL jacket about 10 years back.

So what are the connotations for wearing it? Is DMR a big gay sailor?

oh and you were wearing henri lloyd
It wouldn't matter what the label was on the downtrodden lardy lad I saw on his own outside the Arkells. Looked like a bag o' shite to me. Hope it didn't cost much. Wink

Dave's alright really. If he gets 'overenthusiatic' and wants to enjoy a bit of trouble then it's his life. As long as he doesn't bring it round to you I don't see what the problem is

Where's this assumption that if you wear an item of clothing with Henri Lloyd written on it, you are automatically trying to be a football hooligan? I know many people that own Henri Lloyd clothing who never attend football, or even have an interest in it. I own a Henri Lloyd Coat and I'm not 'trying' to be a football hooligan.

They should clearly wear coats with "I'm a fucking football hooligan" on them.

Not really an assumption but it’s a bit of an old stereotype that folk tend to pick up on.
