Thats the whole point!

Sky One is one of 30 channels FREE from NTL when you take their 'phone service. In other words don't pay BT for your line rental when you can switch to NTL, keep the same 'phone number and get a FREE digibox to watch around 30 channels for nowt.

So yes fuck paying Sky to watch mounds of other rubbish.

But then I'd have to get a different broadband supply etc. It would just end up costing the same as sky by the time I've added that in and paid cancellation fees.

True to a certain extent. However if you want to continue watching Lost on tv i was just trying to prove it can be done without subscribing to the likes of Sky.

That I do understand. I know a mate who has just had broadband put in and he keeps telling me how good value it is for £17.99 a month. But to get it he had to take a BT line which he never had originally and has to pay £11 a month for that! £28.99 a month suddenly not such a bargin after all!

Oh yes. Watched episode 3 of the 3rd series of Lost yesterday. Good stuff.

Or you can always watch it LIVE on your pc for free if you have broadband using TVU Player.  Dancing

NTL broadband is £17.99 month. No phone line required.

Last year I would have agreed with you. To be fair they have got a lot better since the merger with Telewest and Virgin Mobile.
