Due to recent health problems I have been put on a specific high fibre diet.
Basically my staplediet should predominantly be ;
Fish Chicken Pasta Rice Fresh Veg Fruit
Now I have not got a problem with that as I like all the things that I need to eat but my problem is trying to vary it so I dont get bored shitless (pardon the pun !) with it.
I love pasta but I am the only one in the family that does and I am fuckedif I am going to spend out 2.00 on a pasta sauce and throw 3/4 of it away.
Over to you celebrity chefs !

how  ? I am a bit of a schlong in the kitchen and I hate having to cook for 1 1/2 hours for basically a bowl of food and end up with a sink full of washing up etc your guidance please

Here you go andy. CHICKEN RISOTTO
6 tbsp. butter 1 lb. chicken breast, boned, sinned, and cut into thin strips 1 clove garlic, minced 1 1/2 c. uncooked rice 1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced 3 green onions, tops optional, chopped 3 c. chicken broth 1 tsp. basil 1 c. Sargento Fancy shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz.)
In large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Add chicken and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until pieces are browned, about 5 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet. Add remaining butter, rice, and garlic to skillet and cook, stirring constantly until rice is lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and green onion. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are tender, about 2 minutes. Stir in chicken broth and basil. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Gently stir in chicken. Continue simmering until chicken is heated through and rice is tender, about 5 minutes. Top with cheese and serve immediately. Makes about 6 servings.

Try using turkey mince for a chilli/bolognese/tacos etc etc.
Gives you an option with the pasta and the rice and is healthier than red meat. Make plenty of it and then freeze it into 1 serving portions. Then you have some microwave madness for later.
FWIW, I used to cook using jars of sauces, but if you make your own it goes further and is cheaper in the long run. All you need is a mixture of stock/chopped tomatos and herbs/spices as a basic mix.

good idea Si Pie, Turkey mince is good amd very low fat - oh and cheap Buy some turkey pieces and do a stirfry fry with some rice

Highly recommend Jordan’s luxury crunch range for breakfast.
