But where does it say that Power is 'cutting all ties' with STFC? I agree with Sam STFC. The statement yesterday only says that he is not going to be taking an 'active role' in the running of the club.

That makes me think that he's still involved monetary wise. Perhaps he invested in Swindon thinking that he could help turn the club around and get some prestige and perhaps even make some money in the long term. He's decided that he can't continue to work actively running the club but is still investing with Devlin pulling his strings for him.

Perhaps.

Because I believe Bob was on the radio talking about the return of money - the club "didn't expect" the initial investment to be returned but didn't guarentee it.  That suggests a complete walk away.

so, it seems the club feel the need to check with lawyers if the investment purchased shares or not.  Why would they need to do that?

Devlin already having the flack thrown his way in public.

Board seem to have missed £700k of payments, how convenient.

If Devlin was such a big spender, it would still beg the question of the Board - what the fuck do you do for us?  Surely the Finance bods should be able to count.  Sorry, that doesn't add-up, the Ince deal was concluded 4 weeks or so after Devlin went on sick leave, and I doubt we'll find his signature on the contract.

ps, I supported the signing on the basis we could afford it, and still would.

Even though the Ince saga lasted weeks and for the vast majority Devlin was out of action in hospital.

They know Devlin is the darling of the Town fans and they want to get some mud to stick before they boot him out of the door also.
