He was crap saturday and didnt appear arsed. I think we all agree on that. but what would you do about it?

I'd go for the bollocking option personally

On his game he is our best striker, end of.  He had a poor game Saturday, but I think 8 or 9 others did too.

I'm not trying to single out Roberts for critism here, like batch says 8/9 were crap.

For me him and Evans were 2 of the worst players in our side which is bizarre given their form so far this season.

I don't actually think Roberts was that "uninterested" on Saturday, just everything he tried didn't come off and Peacock was equally as poor, which could be down to the service.

i think very few players had bad games. i think nicholas had a bad game and obviously the mistake from brezovan, but the majority wasnt that bad...it was just playing not being themselfs and just not turning up really.

Peacock and roberts did nothing, evans wasnt himself, weston went missing. i dont think there was many awfull performances just some of our best players not at the races. i think ady williams was possibly the only one who turned up and had a fairly good game.

I think id freshen it up a bit .. give the Cock and Roberts place to Fola and Brownlie for a game .. if they fail .. then it should have given the other two a decent rest and kick up the arse they needed

Don't drop him, just sub him if he isn't playing well. I get the feeling he won't be off the pitch unless he is injured this season, which is an excuse to fall into old habits.

not suggesting he's immune to being dropped, but definitely don't think it'd be wise to chuck him out the team.

give him a bollocking and let him prove himself against notts county.

i don't think he looked disinterested per se, just very frustrated. that needless foul he gave away for their goal was evident of that.

The problem with both Roberts and Peacock is that their goals to game ratios are pretty poor.

With Parkin, Mooney, Cureton (after his loan spell), you were confident that reguardless of how shit they individually or the team as a whole were playing, they could nick a goal or slot away the chance presented to them.  However with Roberts and Peacock, i don't get that same feeling.

Peacock isn't a striker who will score 20 goals a season,  but then again hes a player who will play his heart out for the team, do the dirty work upfront, and run tiredlessly chasing so called lost causes.

Roberts is the out and out striker who is expected to get the 20 goals a season.

Both players have merits to be in the team, but unless they both combine and collectively score more goals for the team, then it may be time to try a different striking pair upfront.  When we had Parkin and Fallon upfront, the combination never worked because both strikers were similar.  It may just be that a different partner for either Roberts or Peacock may just potentially unlease the goals which all us fans are craving for.

I still think it can work.

Roberts needs to get closer to Peacock though. Too often on saturday when a flick on was fianlly won, there was no-one within 20 yards to try and pick up the pieces.

I suspect Dennis may work on that this week.

I'd agree with that, bit hard doing anything when the ball is always flying over your head out of play....HOOF! Just like last season  Sad it doesn't work boys when you've got two fairly short men up front and your playing against a team full of six foot gaints :x

He's mentioned it in interviews that they'll be practising 'the basics' this week.

i.e. How to score goals and not conceed them

Ifil and Williams were ok, to be fair Peterborough didn't get much out of them two, just the mistake by Brezovan, that's all.

Hes been one of our best players this season. When he has the chance to turn and run with the ball he is THE most exciting player in the division.

Im sure he will get more space and better balls on saturday.

The problem on saturday was more with the midfield (IMHO).
