We need a prolific striker! We have not scored from open play now for 3 games. Peacock and Roberts may work hard but to be honest it is goals that get points and we are not scoring enough for this level, simple as that!

but...being serious here....how many chances did midfield create for Roberts and Peacock today?

Its alright saying we need better strikers, or a natural finisher or whatever....but you cant finish, or rather score what isnt delivered.

Yes, its Roberts and Peacocks jobs to score the goal, but someone needs to provide them....

With the pace Roberts has, he sould be capable of creating his own chances.

Our wingers havent been creating enough and putting in enough crosses, you can diss David Duke & even Brian Howard all you want....but you watch that youtube clip of Super Sammy Parkin scoring goal after goal after goal....watch how many headers he scores from Duke/Howard/Anyone crosses.....more than you'd care to remember.

Agree few chances created- but Roberts and Peacock aint 20 goal a season strikers.

Lack of a goalscorer could cost us dear and make the difference between play offs and automatic

but you're strikers can only score goals, if the midfield create the chances.

If we created enough chances, then Roberts and Peacock could easily be 20 goal a season strikers....but the fact is, we lack that creativity at the moment.

Our last 4 goals have all been from set pieces...

Agreed the strikers can only bury the chances the mid field create, however the mid field are once again being bypassed from the back. If the mid field are to stand any chance of creating anything they have to have the ball.  Simple football, get the ball down and pass it quickly. On the occasions we have done this so far this season we have looked imense.
Also Evans and Ince as a central mid pair does not work, neither gets far enough forward to support resulting in the constant long ball. A good pairing for those gritty away games, but not attack minded enough for home ties.

We create nothing. No crosses, no through balls, no chip over the top. I for one am not surprised they haven't scored many, given that they have zero service.

Get Shevchenko in. Oh wait he hasn't scored many for Chelsea either....
