If we don't beat Notts County, King is going to be under the knife

We have a very talented football team, and on occassions we have shown this, but we are just too inconsistant. We should be winning this league but were not because we are not performing to our best every week like we should be

That would suggest Mr. King has taken us as far as he can? You're probably right.

would people be happy if king stepped down to say assistant manager and we got someone in new to manage the players/tactics etc.

King could free up his time using contacts etc to find new players.
king is very handy to have in that role

King wouldn't stay to be assistant. He would be snapped up by someone else

That wouldn't and shouldn't happen. King is not a scout or assistant manager he's a manager and a very good one. Finding new players is the managers job, not the assistants. We shouldn't even be considering anything other than King staying as manager.

No man with pride would allow himself to be demoted.

Director of Football is the only position a manager would change titles with.... We can't afford such a set-up.

Perhaps we should look at getting in a decent assistant for King.

Walsh, IMO, just isn't up to the job.

He wasn't in his 1st spell, he isn't now. In my opinion.

I agree with this.
My earlier suggestion wasn't a way of saying King out cos that isn't what i want  but i do believe his assistant (Walsh) is the weak link in all of this. Last season people were asking what does Crosby do and i think the difference since he has gone has proved how vital he was here and thats why Middlesborough got him.

Gorman maybe a good shout for assistant.
I would like to see it happen :?
