... featured in a nice article in the Metro today about the Learning Disabilities World Cup, which England will enter as favourites and reigning champions.
The team features 18 non-league players, with IQs below 75.
Presumably the picture of (recently dropped from the full squad) Mr. Beckham on the same page (advertising a razor) is purely coincidental...

Am I missing something or does Brayley have learning difficulties?

Never knew that and he's still playing for Canvey Island. Bertie Brayley Born 5th September 1981. Bertie Brayley was a product of the West Ham Youth Scheme who can also play on the left wing. Has played along Hammers' Stars Joe Cole & Michael Carrick. Brayley starred for West Ham in their 1999 FA Youth Cup win over Coventry City, scoring three goals over the two legged final. Bertie's previously played for Q.P.R. Swindon and spent a day training with Southend United. Height 178cm, Weight 76kg. Signed for Canvey on a free transfer 16th August 2002. Scored Canvey's quickest League Hat-trick in under 4 minutes against Enfield on 26th April 2003. You know what I think he’s a ringer or he’d got in off the back of being slightly dyslexic. http://www.canveyfc.com/images/players/brayley_hs_2003.jpgMaybe not

As I recall BB was a mate of a mate of Donegan, so the club were paying a fortune to put the kid up somewhere like the Marrriot....even though he was essentially a not very good youth team player. Bertie got a bit bored in his luxurious surrounds so set himself up a set of goals in his room, and wiled away the tedium by having kickabouts with himself...not necessarily a sign of low intellectual capacity.....but strong corroborative evidence when put with Dazzza's pic.

I turned Dean Chandler (also in the England slow-squad) into a £5m defender on Champ Man.
Woo hoo for me
