dont think he will play at all to be honest, a bit of a pointless signing.

No it isn't

I agree. I'm yet to be convinced. I saw him for the time he was on the pitch v Reading and thought he was a clueless cunt.

he's 31.

not sure what to make of this, doesn't neccesarily mean the ince move is dead in the water although my first thoughts were that evans is the alternative to ince. i should imagine there's still some room in the wage budget for ince though.

regardless, once he gets fit i think he could be a good signing - he's got a good pedigree at this level, experienced and there's nothing to indicate he's lost his ability.
far from it sonic..very confident that this time on thursday ince will have signed

I know he didnt play very well on Saturday but you cant expect him to be putting in a MOTM performance considering it might have been his first pre season game for a while.

Exactly. Thought he was fairly poor on Sunday but clearly unfit too. I'll reserve judgement until he has had a  month at fat camp.

If Dennis wanted a short, fat, unifit midfielder (with a decent range of passing Cheesy )I'm sure i'd have signed for less :|

surely a short term prove yourself deal would have been better?

I suppose you could say that's what he's been given.

The signing hasn't got me shouting from the rooftops (for one, getting on the roof is too much like hard work). In fact, his appearance on saturday didn't exactly fill me with uncontrolable excitment. However, I have faith in Wise (& Poyet), and if he deems Evans worthy of a years contract, then I'm content.

Until he has a bad game  .

There's probably appearance fees in the contract, with the basic wage being reansonably low - if he proves himself then he gets paid accordingly. Shrug

He's only had 45 mins in a pre-season friendly agains Prem opposition. How can you judge him on that?! His pedigree (just ask Brentford fans) is outstanding. We've got a coup on our hands here once he's fit... fact.
