It's cheaper to use a credit card and pay them back in monthly instalments I think!

Prob can't now but if they say, try going to soemone more senior - they are turning down a large wad of cash at the end of the day.

Im gunna have a serious problem if I can't pay by direct debit. Maybe they'll let us pay the first payment up front at the office, I can't see why not.

Although theyve been bastards every time i've gone in there.

Phoned them this morning and they said that i've got to pay up front now and that I can't do it by direct debit anymore. Might try and talk to someone more senior as you said Rob T as without being able to buy via DD I won't be able to get one.

Have you looked at the credit card option? IIRC, there wasn't a lot of difference last time I looked at that vs pay by DD. Erm, that assumes you've got a credit card of course.
