Looking to buy my Dad a laptop (because he's nice!) any tips on where to get one from/what to look for etc. Ideally looking to spend around £600-£700. He won't need anything fancy, just for t'internet and Word/Excel and that. Would be nice if it was quite shiny too!

Thanks.

Dabs is always pretty good and reliable.

Customer ratings are pretty helpful to.

Don't think you'll have spend that much unless he's planning games and such like.

Don't get a celeron  :shake:

You might want to get a laptop that has more memory if the graphics card is integrated (this nicks memory to do the graphics) or get a laptop with a separate graphics card. I know it's only for t'internet and word etc. but it's definitely worth it.

I bought mine from www.ginger6.com
You can just make up your own spec there
