Nah I'd prefer him to get some match practice in a group game than bringing him on un-match fit in the knock out stages.

Rooney isnt human, he will play in the group and he wont looks as if hes even been injured.

It's not a risk playing him - he's fully fit, just lacking match fitness which he's only going to get by playing games.  Bring him on with 20 minutes to go.  What are the rules re.: subs in the world cup?
