funny that, I remeber Southend beating us at The CG by quality set pieces not playing like 1970 brazil Cheesy

Bottom line is I want us to win at all costs. If that means diving, cheating, dirty hoofball tactics so be it. :|
i think you will find that thats the sign of a team exploiting our weakness,,

in my opinion the style of football didn't change at all when iffy took over.long aimless balls were punted forward under both managers.iffy did seem to rally the troops for a while but the lack of quality footballers in town shirts was our downfall entirely

thats sort of my point arriba.iffy plays the same way as andy king plays he has the same ideas,,iffy was a yes man for king, king would not have people around who didnt agree with his way..one final point iffy was sacked as assistant manager at a club that got relegated yet we feel he is good enough to be our manager..how does that work out

whalley, miglioranzi?my point is if you play good football 9/10 times it will go through theses sort of players,,if you bypass them they will be non effective whalley has allways played ina team that gets the ball down this year they played long and he has not been in the games at all..iffy in a radio interveiw said that he and reeves spent so much time drumming it into the players heads not to mess about with the ball and play fancy football, his words were when sean and jerel get the ball i dont want to see smashing football i want to see them clearing the decks and getting rid of it

whalley and miglioranzi can't possibly play in the same team, we'd get absolutely murdered.

if you think we're got a team capable of playing shexy football you're fucking deluded. the reason our defenders hoof the ball up front is cos the midfield give them fuck all support. it's that simple.

this is professional fuckin footballers we are talking about..you make it sound like they are crippled and play the long ball cos they cant pass ..

that would be right, the play long ball because they cant pass.

They get the ball panic and hoof it.

If the players could pass and play nice football then they would.

Iffy brought in the bigger strikers because he was fully aware of the fact our defence and midfield didnt have the brain or skill to play football. Add the fact we have one of the worst right wingers we have ever had who cant cross for shit....

the players werent good enough to play football, it was never going to happen.

well we should get rid of the fuckin lot then.i play sunday football and even the shit teams know how to pass..sonic i didnt say play those two in the same team.im saying they are FOOTBALLERS they like to pass the ball.people have got to get it out of their minds that iffy is blameless in all this .he gave it a good go he couldnt do it thats fair enough if he wasnt a nice bloke people would want him out..listen the facts are he wasnt good enough to be assistant manager at walsall so why should we delude ourselves and think he is good enough now..

I agree, it seems easy enough

Yeah, but they cant pass the ball if the defence dont give it to them and kick is over thier heads.

Iffy cant be blamed for the style of football, if the players just arent good enough. As I said, you can tell the team how to play, you can spend 3 days working on how to play and telling them over and over and over and over again but if they arent good enough to do what is being asked of them, then they cant

no he was sacked..your missing my point dv ..im saying as you have said aswell we had a midfield that could get the ball down.but iffy and alan reeves approach was dont play football hit big trev, rory or whoever..so you cant blame them as it seems they ARE following his instructions but just not doing it well

but then do we know for a fact Iffy and Reeves were telling them that, or was it rather we brought in big Trev because thats all we are capable of doing....hoofing...

There is a massive difference between being asked to play football and actually playing football. Just because we didnt play football last season doesnt mean we were told to play football.

as i said earlier iffy himself said just get rid of the ball..that suggests he is saying hit it long to the big man..i think we will have to agree to disagree

I will happily agree with you, if you can prove that Iffy has indeed told the players to 'lump it forward at all times' or words to that effect
