I do appreciate that lady, just wondered exactly what the official line was and what their reasons for it were. Like I say after numerous seasons I remember going on the pitch, when Sunderland got promoted for example, after the leeds match when we were relegated after Glenn's first season in charge... All good natured joyious celebration, or reflection as in the case of the Leeds match.
I don't expect amrk to come on here and say go for it fella's. If he uses the private property excuse though I'd be disappointed.

Under the Football (offences and disorder) Act 1999 an arrest can be made for entering the "playing area or adjacent area to which spectators are not generally admitted without lawful authority or excuse."
But I've got a blantant disregard for the laaaaaw*

To be perfectly honest, regulations or no regulations wouldn't stop me either, (providing thousands do first as well)  The idea of getting arrested doesnt really appeal to me |

I keep hearing, only if 1000s do it before me....how many people are you expecting at the last game of the season, really?
Wish we had all run on last season, just so I could have shaken SSPs hand before he let.
and in typical DV85 fashion, I dont expect any joyus scenes on the last day anyway.....actually that isnt true...Huddersfield till have alot to play for

First things first. The 2005 accounts should be completed and published by end May/mid June. The 2006 accounts should be quicker to complete and we should make the allowed date of three months after our year end, which is May 31. As for going onto the pitch, I totally understand that it is seen as a traditional way of ending the season for most fans- especially if the players keep us up. However, the law says that it is an offence to enter the field of play, even if it is just for friendly celebration. The club would get in trouble if it did not attempt to stop pitch incursions, and no allowances are made by the authorities about this. Sorry to trot out the boring company line, but that is the situation we and every other club find ourselves in these days.

So STFC won't get into trouble if they attempt to stop it, but due to the over exurberance of the fans didn't prevent it from happening. Thanks for your reply Mark. |

How come Fulham and Doncaster have got away with it? Doncaster have had 2 pitch invasions on live TV and walked away unpunished.

I see Reading had a pitch invasion on Saturday to celebrate going up. I expect a full Football League enquiry into this and a hefty fine for the club.
