Lets look at the evidence....Woany has a bit of alleged previous for a footballers night out on the lash in Nottm....a lot of our squad are known to like a drink or ten.
There probably wasn't an overnight stop, so players could make their own way if they wished.
Booby Howe, an ex player used to play for Forest and probably knows Woan.
We suffered our heaviest defeat for 50 years at this level.... certain of the players back then according to my old man, would go in the CGH and have a few with the lads before a game on a Saturday.
Guilty as charged.

Yes its true, they werre snorting Coke and sucking Arsenal players willys as well. Without touching the sides like Ashley? It's all the rage now amongst fashionable types. I hear. I blame Reginald for this whole rumour with his rather ambiguous unanswered comment the other night. Since then it’s made the short hop, skip and a jump to thisis and yesterday appeared on the rivals site. I’ve stopped reading all the threads now but I haven’t seen one single post where someone has seen a player, drink in hand with their own peepers. It’s like Chinese whispers .

There is no proof but I wouldnt put it past them. Nottingham is known as a decent place to go out, so I'm sure they would have either saturday or friday.
If the coach goes up on a friday (I dont know this to be true) and comes back on a Saturday after the game, that means the players are only in Nottingham for friday night?
Johno where did you see the coach, usless they stay in a hotel and drive to the ground and get there about the same time the supporters coach does

I just can’t see it happening unless someone has seen players drink in hand then it’s just the sort of ridiculous rumour that crops up from time to time.
The first team stopped staying in Hotels where ever possible three years ago and again I would hope they wouldn’t get away with going missing for half the night on the lash.
You don’t have to be pissed to be shit and unless you are drinking serious volumes well into the early hours of Saturday morning then a few beers are unlikely to seriously hamper performance if at all.

Apparently when Macari was here he once sent the squad to an Army camp for a day for punishment/excercise after a bad performance.
Dunno if this is true

Harold Larwood and Bill Voce, great pair of fast bowlers who played for Notts and England during the 30's.

Whilst it might explain that shameful performance, I can't for one minute believe any professional player would go out on the lash the night before a game. I just can't take this seriously. Likewise, the suggestion that Woany would be at the heart of such an event?! Do me a favor - it's more than his jobsworth surely?!

There has to be some underlying reason for you being such a miserable git. Lighten up - you'll have a heart attack if you aren't careful or get a hernia with the effort of carrying all of Swindon's woeas on your back.
