I wrote down my answers before looking at what everyone else had put, and realised some people i had missed (like Hoddle etc!).

But these are probably more my favourites for whatever reason than the best, although some would  be up there too.

1. David Kerslake
2. Duncan Shearer
3. Peter Coyne
4. Alan Mayes (1st time round)
5. Steve White.

Ha never noticed that!

pretty sure Bobby Barnes was black though

I'll always remember him for the time he gave the ref the two fingers and got sent off. Can't remember who we were playing but it was at home and it took him about 10 minutes stop arguing and leave the pitch.

Besides the only half decent black players I can remember seeing play for the town outside the current squad are Kamara, Iffy and Allison.  No-one else I can think of stands out.

The fact that there was at least one black player on my list is (I consider) commendable considering some people had the temerity to not even include one black player in theirs! :?

anyone would think you had something against me?

I forgot about Walters, he was good with us,  but not top 5 material.

Neither were any of the others.

I don't rate any of them as being better than my first selection.

The point of the question wasn't how many black players we've had, it was about the  top 5 town players you have seen play.
