I think we've been a but lucky with media coverage of this nightmare. Seems to have thankfully passed under the radar a bit this weekend.

Is Swindon losing to Aldershot more embarrassing than League 1 Charlton drawing at home to 8th tier Cray Valley PM?

If Charlton win - then no.
They’ll still be in the cup & might be financially better for having the replay (assuming it’s on TV)
…I mean who is to say they didn’t fix the draw purely for the extra finances.

A missile rather than a bullet dodged.

I did feel a defeat was on the cards simply because it was home to non league. So gave it a miss. Also, im at Colchester tomorrow night.

I didnt expect that disaster though. My phone bleeped all fxxxxg night and the next day with piss takes.

A little odd that the pub wasn’t named. My initial thought was the county ground but would have expected bouncers on the door.

They were lucky I decided to stay at home  Smiley

Aldershot fans not happy with our stewarding even tho it was their own fans who weren’t sat in the correct seats and chose to stand in the aisles.

In a couple of years I hope we can look back on the game vs Aldershot and say it was pivotal in our turning point in our promotion season.

Pushing us onto bigger better things with a new wealthy owner funding our push to the Premier League with masses of funding and a rebuilt County Ground to boot.

"You got to have a dream, If you don't have a dream, How you gonna have a dream come true?"

I would say that Saturday was THE lowest point I have had in nearly 50 years of following Swindon, kicks the 5-0 loss at MKD under Sheridactyl into touch.

Saturday was/is a double edged sword. If the players were, indeed, trying their best and still got butt fucked then God help us.

If they downed collective tools on purpose they’re a bunch of cunts.

Cant argue with that, tonight will be a big test of character and professional pride for them.

A very important game. Not so much winning or losing it but attitude, character and commitment
