I don't remember that one but do remember a friendly against a European club a couple of years before, just after Hoddle had taken over, which we lost by a closer scoreline. But I can't remember who!

I remember this game, a larger than expected crowd turned up because Hoddle was playing, and i'm sure kick off was put back 15 minutes (not enough turnstiles open).

Definitely the Sociedad one. I remember how strange it was when they scored that there was complete silence without away fans. Of course, it’s a bit like you’re average League Two game! |
