SWANSEA have launched the football strip of the season so far – after two fans peeled off to have the new club kit painted on their bodies. The South Wales side put out an appeal last week for a couple of girls to get painted and pose alongside some of the League 1 side’s top players.
Blonde Lindsey Edwards from Rhondda, and Kirsty Jones from Swansea were the good sports who stepped forward for the paint job. Now the club are hoping their alternative kit launch will provide the catalyst for Swansea fans to snap up shirts in their thousands.
Swansea commercial manager Lesa Hitchings said: ‘We wanted to promote the strip in
a different way. ‘The photographs along with the players will appear in our new calendar which will be available at the end of November in our new superstore.’
