Reading between the lines, when Cooper mentions wanting another CF instead of saying striker, does that mean Smith won't be first choice?

Also, only wanting one CB surely means that either he is fairly confident of Stephens coming back on loan or Troy signing a new contract. Otherwise we would need 2 CBs, surely.
